I love spring time for various reasons: 1. I love the weather 2. I love the clothes 3. I love being outside every chance I get and 4. my birthday! Mirrored Effect Print….

This past weekend I was on a mission to find dark denim high-waist shorts…but of course when I am looking for something, I find and WANT everything else but what I am actually looking for. So while shopping I found this mirrored effect floral printed dress at Forever 21. This new print is on trend and will continue to be well into Fall. I am even starting to see this “mirrored effect,” in swimsuits too!

I love this cut and fit because I can wear it with a blazer for work and take off the blazer for happy hour or a date night. If you are an online shopper and want to purchase this dress make sure to buy a size larger than you would usually be because it runs a bit snug.

I Love What I Do! <3

I had the privilege of working with a women that just graduated from Arizona State University, that is a complete doll to work with! She came to me looking for a graduation outfit and we ended up finding so much more! I wanted to share what she sent me along with the looks we purchased during our shopping spree. Fun In The Sun!

Well, summer is officially here!!! It hit 100 degrees last week and today I am laying out by the pool and enjoying this beautiful Arizona weather while writing to all of you!

So in honor of the summer weather I wanted to show you a casual, fun summer look that can be worn on the weekend day drinking or at a bbq.

I love dressing up but sometimes it’s nice to be comfy and casual when it’s hot. But don’t forget to stay extremely colorful this summer because you will see lots of color out there in magazines, fashion blogs and watching House Wives of Orange County of course lol! 🙂

Massage Envy Fashion Show Breakdown

Field of colors, lace, crystals and tall models galore; that pretty much summed up my Friday night at JW Marriot Desert Ridge for the Massage Envy Fashion Show! This show was a grand production and I had an amazing time styling this show! Thanks to Phoenix Fashion Week for letting me style such a fun and colorful event!

For this show I was inspired by Massage Envy’s location color/theme…..PURPLE!!! So I wanted the color pallet to flow around the rich purple they use to trademark their name. (Shown Below)

All of the models in this picture are wearing looks from Dillards. The Saturday before the show I spent close to 3 hours in the Scottsdale Fashion Square location, pulling looks because there was sooo much to choose from (which is never a bad thing). What really stood out to me was the flowy dresses and tailored jackets and for the men I was drawn to board shorts and rolled up skinny’s for summer!

Styling Journey With Phoenix Fashion Week!

During the last couple of weeks I have had the honor of working with Phoenix Fashion Week on the MIM Rocks Fashion Show. Phoenix Fashion Week chose the top 5 stylists (shown above) in Arizona and gave us the challenge of styling 14 models, choosing the music, make-up and hair to go with our Spring theme.

From Left to Right…

-Returning for his 3rd year with MIM Rocks Fashion….stylist Brian Swan with Right Hand Man Image Consulting has 9+ years of experience in the fashion industry, consulting clients and styling numerous photo shoots and runway shows. Most recently, Brian has relocated to Las Vegas to style for Zappos.com!

-Local stylist-extraordinaire Fawn Cheng, Personal Stylist has been a personal stylist for years, here in the valley! Last year she brought a Hispanic flair + drama to the runway with Alma Primero Coleccion and I can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve this year!

-A world citizen, Yekatherina Bruner’s global travels have shaped her culturally-diverse approach to fashion. In addition to her love for style, Yekatherina has a wide experience as a fashion show producer. Yekatherina has recently been named as a Glamour Magazine “Glambassador ” for 2013.

– Amir’s La Voûte has an amazing look in men’s wear, at Amir’s they specialize and carry fine men’s clothing from elegant vintage collection, men’s accessories, unusual collectibles, oddities, and all types of gifts for men! Like Bow Ties? Be ready to see what is on trend for men this Spring!

This has been such a fun and amazing experience overall and I wanted to share my journey so far with all of you! To get started I met with owner Kim Kendall with Clothes Minded in Phoenix. Her boutique has a wide variety of local designer collections that I will be using in the show! Kim and I went over prints and colors that would coordinate well with the idea I was shooting for in my head.

Scarf Versatility

There are days when I wake up and all I want to do is wear my pajamas all day while I’m running errands. But I know that I can’t do that, so I came up with the next best outfit (that was super comfy) which included a pair of black leggings, a black button up, a turquoise scarf and a pair of black Tory Burch flats (sorry I forgot to take a picture of the outfit).
Earlier this week I asked my Facebook friends for some blog ideas and one of my good friends Ann, gave me a great idea! Which brings me to my blog topic today…..Scarf Versatility!

Acrylic Out. Gel in!

Gel nail polish is the ultimate craze this year; the perks of gel is that it lasts longer, doesn’t chip and it comes in a million colors. I have found a lot of cool ideas in magazines and Pinterest which is my new best friend (thank you Kelsey Hanes for introducing me to it). Don’t think ombre is just for your hair; it can also be for your nail polish too…it starts with a dark color at the tip of your nail and the blends into a lighter color.

I also love the one bling nail as seen in the picture above; it really adds some spunk and flair and goes with any outfit or can bring some more bling into your life! So next time you get your manicure make sure to ask them about gel nail polish..but I warn you this can be dangerous because you are going to officially be obsessed!
