Massage Envy Fashion Show Breakdown

Field of colors, lace, crystals and tall models galore; that pretty much summed up my Friday night at JW Marriot Desert Ridge for the Massage Envy Fashion Show! This show was a grand production and I had an amazing time styling this show! Thanks to Phoenix Fashion Week for letting me style such a fun and colorful event!

For this show I was inspired by Massage Envy’s location color/theme…..PURPLE!!! So I wanted the color pallet to flow around the rich purple they use to trademark their name. (Shown Below)

All of the models in this picture are wearing looks from Dillards. The Saturday before the show I spent close to 3 hours in the Scottsdale Fashion Square location, pulling looks because there was sooo much to choose from (which is never a bad thing). What really stood out to me was the flowy dresses and tailored jackets and for the men I was drawn to board shorts and rolled up skinny’s for summer!

I also wanted to give a special “shout out” to the amazing style team that helped me backstage with a flawless show! I look forward to working with all of you again! 🙂

LOL! I had to add this picture because I love standing next to these beautiful models because I am half of their size…literally!

Work to Weekend Wear With a Peplum Flair!

Spring is now quickly turning into summer weather and I wanted to check out the stores to see if I could find any transition pieces for my wardrobe. I recently went on a mini shopping spree at Tempe Market Place this past weekend and I found a crisp, white peplum rayon top at Divaz Boutique. This top inspired me to do a blog post on Work to Weekend Wear Looks!

Backstage at Green Street Realty Fashion Show!

It was the perfect temperature and weather for a rooftop fashion show in Phoenix. With over 250 guests supporting the Phoenix Children’s Hospital; everyone was dressed to impress including the amazing models.

I have never styled a fashion show on a rooftop before and now I don’t want to have it any other way because of how beautiful it was….but if you would ask me in the middle of July I would probably be perfectly fine with an indoor venue 🙂

I love this picture above because I am literally half the size of these beautiful bombshells I am styling <3. Backstage all of the models are wearing Shawl Dawls; I blogged about this designer back in January because I fell in love with their collection because there are so many ways to wear their shawls. I also had so much fun styling for Vintage By Misty! I have blogged about her boutique before when I bought my amazing Chanel Nugget Earrings (Shown Below)

Misty’s fun and unique location is in the heart of downtown Phoenix. If you are looking for a Louis Vuitton clutch to a sequin cap-sleeve jacket Vintage By Misty is your place! There you will also find Amir’s Va Loute!

I had the pleasure of working with him for MIM Rocks Fashion. His looks are very clean-cut and unique. I love his color pallets that he pairs with his prints and designs. What’s really cool about Amir is that he creates all of his designs in-house.

When I first started writing this blog post, I just wanted to talk about backstage but as you are reading…..it has turned into a lot more! I absolutely LOVE my job and LOVE what I do and LOVE who I worked with on this show and wanted to give everyone a little shout out! 🙂

JHaus Denim was really fun to style because I pretty much wanted every single item she designed; so it made it extremely easy to visualize what I wanted my outcome to be! JLynn (the designer) is amazing to work with and has such a kind heart! I was also lucky enough to be able to pull some fun tops from Clothes Minded Boutique! (Shown Below).

Last but not least I loved this look from Bounty Hunter! Who says only women can roll up their pants, guys are now doing it too! I also tell all of my male clients to always match your belt with your shoes and this is a perfect example! I loved the color of this belt and actually saw the belt first and paired the entire outfit around it 🙂

I also wanted to give a special “Shout Out” to Dillards Accessory Department because they supplied me with all of the accessories in the Green Street Realty Show!

Green Street Realty Charity Fashion Show

I am so excited to be teaming up with Phoenix Fashion Week again on the Green Street Realty Charity Fashion Show this Thursday, April 18th at 7:30. I will be styling looks from Shawl Dawls, Bounty Hunter, JHaus Denim, Amir’s La Voute and Vintage By Misty.

What’s extremely exciting about the show is that 100% of the proceeds earned from the event and silent auctions will be donated to The Phoenix Children’s Hospital. This Spring into Summer show will focus on looks that will be on the runway; and then can be transitioned to your closet. You will see a lot of “ready to wear,” pieces from the designers and collections I listed above.

This weekend I started pulling looks from the show and saw myself steering towards a lot of stripes for men! Women have been wearing stripes all season and I love it. I recommend pairing stripes with a bright color. For example if you are wearing stripe leggings (black and white) I would pair them with a bright color top (like the picture shown below). She rocks this outfit and didn’t even have to accessorize that much! If you do not want to be that BOLD; you can pair a basic black dress with a stripe blazer.

I hope all of you can show support for Phoenix Children’s Hospital and come to the show this Thursday!

Watch Trade-In Event At Dillards!

I am so excited to announce that I will be teaming up with Dillards locally here in Arizona; letting you in on the scoop and great deals in their Arizona locations!

I am super excited to talk about an event going on in their watch department today through Sunday (April 5th- April 7th). It’s a “Watch Trade-In Event,” all you have to do is bring in any clean, used watch and receive a discount on any regular priced watch.

-Save $15 on a watch value at $50-$75
-Save $25 on a watch valued at $76-$125
-Save $40 on a watch valued at $126-$199
-Save $50 on a watch valued at $200 or more

The unique part about this event is that all of the used watches brought in will be donated to the local charity; Florence Crittenton. Behind The Scenes (MIM Rocks Fashion)

What an amazing March it has been! I was lucky enough to be chosen as one of the “Top Stylist in Arizona,” for Phoenix Fashion Week’s MIM Rocks Fashion Show that was on March 29th; along with some amazing stylists throughout the valley. I styled along side; Brian Swan, Fawn Cheng, Yeka Bruner and Amir Saebi. (Shown Below)

During the month of March, I have been eating and breathing MIM Rocks Fashion and I absolutely loved every minute of it! The “theme” of this show was everything Spring and how you can bring the looks from the runway to your closet. So, I immediately thought of floral prints with a lot of color, draped with colorful jewels.

I had the honor of working with Clothes Minded Boutique owner Kim Kendall on all of the looks chosen for the show. Her store is filled with lots of color and looks for all occasions. If you haven’t been in her boutique yet……you must! If you are looking for a casual day time look to a dressy going out look for night…this is your store! I also love the fact that she houses various Phoenix Fashion Week Designers collections in her location. So make sure to help out your local economy and check out her boutique and tell her I sent you! 🙂

I also had the pleasure of working with JHaus and Dillard’s on pulling looks and accessories from their collections. All of the denim in the show was from JHaus and all of the jewelry was from Dillard’s at Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall. (Most from the Jessica Simpson Collection)

This is where it all began (picture shown above). After I picked all of my looks; I had to choose what look to put on what model according to their skin tone and body type. I was lucky enough to have the most amazing 7 models on my team! Thanks again ladies! xoxoxo

I was very excited to be on Good Morning Arizona on 3tv, the day of the show to promote! I was interviewed by the lovely and talented Stella Inger and we discussed Spring fashion the do’s and dont’s!

This was a great picture to snap before the show began! Thank you again Phoenix Fashion Week for an amazing experience that I will never forget and a special shout out to designer JHaus and Dillards Accessories for letting me borrow such amazing pieces for the show!

Scarf Versatility

There are days when I wake up and all I want to do is wear my pajamas all day while I’m running errands. But I know that I can’t do that, so I came up with the next best outfit (that was super comfy) which included a pair of black leggings, a black button up, a turquoise scarf and a pair of black Tory Burch flats (sorry I forgot to take a picture of the outfit).
Earlier this week I asked my Facebook friends for some blog ideas and one of my good friends Ann, gave me a great idea! Which brings me to my blog topic today…..Scarf Versatility!

These are 2 of my favorite scarves for Spring. The coral round scarf is from Royal BOWTiQUE and the blue and white floral scarf is from Kohls! Hope you enjoy my blog video on ways to wear these beauties!

Valentines Day Outfit Ideas!

Red roses, cinnamon hearts and giant chocolate hearts covered with red tin foil. Just a couple of visions that come to mind when I think of Valentines day! My husband and I usually lay low on this day….last year we got Jack in the Box and watched Walking Dead (best Vday ever).

A friend of mine requested this blog/video topic and I thought is was a good idea!

My first look is a work inspired outfit. The dress is from Forever 21 and it is the most comfortable dress I own! I love the pleats at the bottom of the dress, it gives it a very girly look! I bought my Gianni Bini, chunky black heels from Dillard’s (quite sometime ago) but I know that Jessica Simpson has shoes that look very similar to mine.

My gun-metal/black necklace is from Guess By Marciano (it’s an oldie but goodie). I have also seen a similar twisted cluster necklace at Forever 21 and Target.

I love this casual but girly look for Valentines day! This outfit is perfect if you are going on a dinner and a movie kind of date or even a surprise date to a fancy restaurant! We can start with my basic boyfriend tee in the color “Rose” from Nordstrom Rack (this tee comes in various colors and is a great layering piece). My “Chanel” inspired jacket is pretty old school but you can find one just like it at Macy’s in tan or black and white! My bottoms are skinny jeggings from Guess By Marciano (but you can truly find jeggings anywhere).

My funky, fun hot pink and gun-metal necklace is from H&M!!!! They also have this necklace in a highlighter green color!!!

My black clutch with a silver grip is from Charlotte Russe and my vintage inspired bracelets were bought from Alice Cooper. Ok, let me give you a little back story on this. During my freshman year of college I really started getting into vintage pieces, necklaces and bracelets….even vintage coats and bags. Lets just say I went a little over bored and bid on one of Alice Coopers pieces at The Brass Armadillo in Phoenix (he had a booth there with a lot of vintage jewels). I was lucky enough to have the highest bid and got the bracelet of my vintage dreams!!!! Well at least I still get a lot of use out of it! 🙂

My hot pink silky top is from my favorite store…….drum roll please…. Forever 21! This top also comes in black and white.

My diamond brushed gold necklace is also from Forever 21 and I love how this statement piece completes my look for Valentines Day! This necklace is no longer available in stores but you can still buy it online!

What I Love About The Holidays!

It’s finally starting to get cool enough to pull out all of my oversized knit sweaters….which is pure paradise!

Most people look forward to this time of year because of the holidays…but I look forward to this time of year because of my knits! You can find these knits at almost any retailer (Macy’s, Dillards, Nordstrom) some knits are even on their sale racks as we speak; so treat yourself to a comfortable statement piece.

I also love to accessorize my oversized knits and skinny jeans with vintage diamonds! I feel that vintage pieces encompass a classical yet contemporary allure to the entire outfit and sets it a part.

I find a lot of my vintage collections at Brass Armadillo http://brassarmadillo.com/phoenix, which is a antique mall in Phoenix, with over 600 antique dealers. My most recent purchase was from Alice Cooper; he has a fun booth with various types of jewelry and home decor.

So I hope I have inspired all of you to go out and buy a comfortable statement piece that makes you look and feel amazing!
