Shopping for my mom on Mother’s Day is always hard for me because my mom has everything! There is only so many mani’s and pedi’s I can get her or jewelry. So this year I am trying to think outside the box and I wanted to share my ideas with all of you!

photo

For starters this Mother’s Day I am running a fun special! It is a 1 Hour Closet Consult for $100. This fashion journey starts at your home in your closet! During your 1 to 2 hour consultation; I will get to know you and your styling needs in order for me to assess your likes and dislikes and come up with a plan that is customized just for you. I will also mix and match the clothing that you already have in your closet to make new outfits for your every day wear…whether it is for work or play!

Another cool idea is premade dinners from My Dinner Kitchen. They provide pre-assembled meals to make your life easy; they design the dinner and prepare the ingredients for ready-to-cook meals from scratch. There pre-assembled meals are then frozen and sent home with easy to follow cooking instructions. They offer 6 different menus of ready-to-cook meals for your dining pleasure! Best of all, their delicious, pre-assembled meals are very cost-effective!

yoga

These days there’s a type of yoga for every need—fitness, pain relief, relaxation, etc. So if your mom could use a lift, get her a trial at a local studio. Pair the gesture with some cute accessories like a mat, yoga video or water bottle!

What mom doesn’t love a picture of their kids? Last year for Mother’s Day, my husband and I didn’t know what to get my mother in law. So we decided to all go to downtown Chandler set up a tripod and take a picture! The picture above was one of many that we gave her in a frame colleage that we bought at Target. We also got her a small 4×6 frame to put on her desk at work. When she opened the present she was in tears! 🙂

I hope this helps when you are shopping for your mom this Mother’s day! Good Luck!

Well, summer is officially here!!! It hit 100 degrees last week and today I am laying out by the pool and enjoying this beautiful Arizona weather while writing to all of you!

So in honor of the summer weather I wanted to show you a casual, fun summer look that can be worn on the weekend day drinking or at a bbq.

I love dressing up but sometimes it’s nice to be comfy and casual when it’s hot. But don’t forget to stay extremely colorful this summer because you will see lots of color out there in magazines, fashion blogs and watching House Wives of Orange County of course lol! 🙂

Style On!

Over the past couple of weeks I have asked my followers to send me some new ideas to talk about on my blog. Chanda recently asked to see “multiple ways to wear affordable work clothes.” So thank you Chanda for the great blog idea…I hope you enjoy what I came up with!

This navy blue dress is from Forever 21 and I paid $24 for it. I love this dress because it is comfortable and stylish for various looks you are going for. I really think it’s important to have dresses like this in your wardrobe because you can tailor different looks around it; whether it is for work or a Spring training game!

This first work look is layered with a vintage maroon motorcycle jacket, a statement piece copper necklace and a pair of black wedges. I love pairing navy with warm colors like maroon and deep plum purples; in my opinion that is when the navy color really stands out. This is more of a “casual,” work look but most women can get away with this look if you pair a light button-up neutral color sweater with it under the jacket!

Like I say “always add statement pieces before you walk out of the door.” It can truly make your entire outfit pop, like the picture shown above.

-Dress, Forever 21 $24 www.forever21.com
-Jacket, Vintage, Stole from my mom’s closet 🙂
-Shoes, Jessica Simpson/ Dillards $69 www.dillards.com
-Necklace, Forever 21 $14.50
-Sunglasses, Guess By Marciano $59 www.guessbymarciano.com
-Ring, Forever 21 $8

My next look is more of a business casual office look. I layered a thin stripe white and navy button up under the dress to give the look a different feel.

I also wanted to accessorize this outfit up with a pearl necklace, cluster diamond earrings and a tan belt. If this is too much for you, then I would just choose the jewelry or belt and not do both 🙂

-Dress, Forever 21 $24
-Button up shirt, Guess By Marciano $148
-Navy Suede Shoes,Target on sale for $15
-Belt, Francesca’s $19.50
-Pearl Necklace Forever 21 $12
-Diamond earrings Express $24

My last look is also a business casual outfit that is paired up with a burnt orange tailored jacket and a vibrant brushed gold and neutral beaded necklace that brings the looks together. I also paired this outfit with some close-toe chocolate brown booties that I absolutley love! These boots are amazing because they can work for really any look you are going for, whether it’s a dress look or skinny jean look….these boots have you covered!

I had to share this picture with all of you! I was meeting with a client the other day and just happened to look up and this is the beautiful visual I saw…so I had to get out my phone and take a picture 🙂

Spring is my favorite time of year…that’s why my past 5 posts have to do with Spring wear and gear! 🙂 As some of you may know; I am a bargain shopper and I will find deals in almost every store and if I don’t…I move on to the next store! Over the past couple of weeks I have got amazing deals on the items shown below!20130221-224540.jpg
This coral sweetheart cut cotton dress is from Forever 21. This light weight material is perfect for the Arizona weather! I would pair this dress with a cropped jean jacket for day wear and I would change it up at night with a black or turquoise boyfriend blazer. This was the last dress at Chandler Mall but I am sure you can find this dress in coral at the other Forever 21 locations. Price of dress $17.98

Can you guess where I got this Neon Black Purse???? Drum roll please……Forever 21! This purse was only $12; I saw a purse very similar to this one at BCBG at the Kierland location for $198. I like this style because it is very versatile for day wear as well as night and it is the perfect size because it can hold my lip gloss, iphone, camera, card holder and keys.

If you are short like me, you will fall in love with this cut because they fit like cigarette pants (pants that look like high waters…but in a good way). These beauties were found at another favorite store of mine Target! I love this color because it goes with just about anything: tan, coral, black, white, plum purple and the list can go on. These pants look amazing with nude stiletto heels. I paid $29.99 for these pants and I am thinking about going back and buying the black ones too <3
