Mirrored Effect Print….

This past weekend I was on a mission to find dark denim high-waist shorts…but of course when I am looking for something, I find and WANT everything else but what I am actually looking for. So while shopping I found this mirrored effect floral printed dress at Forever 21. This new print is on trend and will continue to be well into Fall. I am even starting to see this “mirrored effect,” in swimsuits too!

I love this cut and fit because I can wear it with a blazer for work and take off the blazer for happy hour or a date night. If you are an online shopper and want to purchase this dress make sure to buy a size larger than you would usually be because it runs a bit snug.

I Love What I Do! <3

I had the privilege of working with a women that just graduated from Arizona State University, that is a complete doll to work with! She came to me looking for a graduation outfit and we ended up finding so much more! I wanted to share what she sent me along with the looks we purchased during our shopping spree. Fun In The Sun!

Well, summer is officially here!!! It hit 100 degrees last week and today I am laying out by the pool and enjoying this beautiful Arizona weather while writing to all of you!

So in honor of the summer weather I wanted to show you a casual, fun summer look that can be worn on the weekend day drinking or at a bbq.

I love dressing up but sometimes it’s nice to be comfy and casual when it’s hot. But don’t forget to stay extremely colorful this summer because you will see lots of color out there in magazines, fashion blogs and watching House Wives of Orange County of course lol! 🙂

Massage Envy Fashion Show Breakdown

Field of colors, lace, crystals and tall models galore; that pretty much summed up my Friday night at JW Marriot Desert Ridge for the Massage Envy Fashion Show! This show was a grand production and I had an amazing time styling this show! Thanks to Phoenix Fashion Week for letting me style such a fun and colorful event!

For this show I was inspired by Massage Envy’s location color/theme…..PURPLE!!! So I wanted the color pallet to flow around the rich purple they use to trademark their name. (Shown Below)

All of the models in this picture are wearing looks from Dillards. The Saturday before the show I spent close to 3 hours in the Scottsdale Fashion Square location, pulling looks because there was sooo much to choose from (which is never a bad thing). What really stood out to me was the flowy dresses and tailored jackets and for the men I was drawn to board shorts and rolled up skinny’s for summer!

I also wanted to give a special “shout out” to the amazing style team that helped me backstage with a flawless show! I look forward to working with all of you again! 🙂

LOL! I had to add this picture because I love standing next to these beautiful models because I am half of their size…literally!

Work to Weekend Wear With a Peplum Flair!

Spring is now quickly turning into summer weather and I wanted to check out the stores to see if I could find any transition pieces for my wardrobe. I recently went on a mini shopping spree at Tempe Market Place this past weekend and I found a crisp, white peplum rayon top at Divaz Boutique. Backstage at Green Street Realty Fashion Show!

It was the perfect temperature and weather for a rooftop fashion show in Phoenix. With over 250 guests supporting the Phoenix Children’s Hospital; everyone was dressed to impress including the amazing models.

I have never styled a fashion show on a rooftop before and now I don’t want to have it any other way because of how beautiful it was….but if you would ask me in the middle of July I would probably be perfectly fine with an indoor venue 🙂

I love this picture above because I am literally half the size of these beautiful bombshells I am styling <3. Backstage all of the models are wearing Shawl Dawls; I blogged about this designer back in January because I fell in love with their collection because there are so many ways to wear their shawls. Misty’s fun and unique location is in the heart of downtown Phoenix. If you are looking for a Louis Vuitton clutch to a sequin cap-sleeve jacket Vintage By Misty is your place! There you will also find Amir’s Va Loute!

I had the pleasure of working with him for MIM Rocks Fashion. His looks are very clean-cut and unique. I love his color pallets that he pairs with his prints and designs. What’s really cool about Amir is that he creates all of his designs in-house.

When I first started writing this blog post, I just wanted to talk about backstage but as you are reading…..it has turned into a lot more! I absolutely LOVE my job and LOVE what I do and LOVE who I worked with on this show and wanted to give everyone a little shout out! 🙂

JHaus Denim was really fun to style because I pretty much wanted every single item she designed; so it made it extremely easy to visualize what I wanted my outcome to be! JLynn (the designer) is amazing to work with and has such a kind heart! I was also lucky enough to be able to pull some fun tops from Clothes Minded Boutique! (Shown Below).

Last but not least I loved this look from Bounty Hunter! Who says only women can roll up their pants, guys are now doing it too! I also tell all of my male clients to always match your belt with your shoes and this is a perfect example! I loved the color of this belt and actually saw the belt first and paired the entire outfit around it 🙂

I also wanted to give a special “Shout Out” to Dillards Accessory Department because they supplied me with all of the accessories in the Green Street Realty Show!

Green Street Realty Charity Fashion Show

I am so excited to be teaming up with Phoenix Fashion Week again on the Green Street Realty Charity Fashion Show this Thursday, April 18th at 7:30. I will be styling looks from Shawl Dawls, Bounty Hunter, JHaus Denim, Amir’s La Voute and Vintage By Misty.

What’s extremely exciting about the show is that 100% of the proceeds earned from the event and silent auctions will be donated to The Phoenix Children’s Hospital. This Spring into Summer show will focus on looks that will be on the runway; and then can be transitioned to your closet. You will see a lot of “ready to wear,” pieces from the designers and collections I listed above.

This weekend I started pulling looks from the show and saw myself steering towards a lot of stripes for men! Women have been wearing stripes all season and I love it. I recommend pairing stripes with a bright color. For example if you are wearing stripe leggings (black and white) I would pair them with a bright color top (like the picture shown below). She rocks this outfit and didn’t even have to accessorize that much! If you do not want to be that BOLD; you can pair a basic black dress with a stripe blazer.

I hope all of you can show support for Phoenix Children’s Hospital and come to the show this Thursday!

Vegan Way Life.

I had lunch with one of my friends today and we were discussing how much the “Vegan life,” has grown over the last couple of years. Going green is now a total lifestyle and some people don’t even know that they are wearing it.

Like TOMS, some of their shoes are 100% vegan; which means that they are all “sustainable” materials that contain recycled, natural fiber and/or organically grown components that are grown or manufactured using processes that minimize negative impact on the environment. (Picture Shown Below)

I love these very tropical and colorful TOMS, they look great with dark or even light denim skinny jeans and a casual cotton top. I would even pair these shoes with a pair of denim shorts and a colorful boho top!

Another popular boutique that carries vegan clothing is Free People. The first Free People boutique opened back in 1970 and when owner, Dick Hayne decided to open his second location he changed the name to Urban Outfitter. Then in 1984 customers wanted something more feminine, so Hayne decided to get back to his roots and open various Free People boutiques around the U.S.

These Black Laser Hem Vegan Shorts are one of their most popular “vegan” pieces of their collection. I love them because they can transition from day to night with just a change of shoes from flats to stilettos.

I am completely obsessed with this Nude Double Breasted Vegan Leather Jacket, even though I live in Arizona and rarely need to wear a jacket, it is light enough where I will feel comfortable wearing it in this 100 degree weather. I would pair this jacket with a floral dress and a pair of Vegan TOMS!

Ecolissa.com launched Sept. 1st 2010 and carries only fashionable eco friendly and vegan woman’s clothing and accessories made of sustainable materials such as organic cotton, bamboo, soy, and hemp. Many of their products are also made in the USA or fair trade.

I love this Mata Traders Aztec Skirt, that almost looks like a skirt that I already have in a different color (I wonder if it is a vegan skirt?). This summer you will see a lot of Aztec prints; it’s been really popular in the East Coast and now making it’s way to Arizona. I like to pair my aztec prints with solid colors; for example, if you are wearing an aztec top, I would then pair it with a solid color on the bottom because your don’t want to over do it.

The Shine Project :)

During the MIM Rocks Fashion Show I had the privilege of meeting Ashley, owner and creator of, “The Shine Project.” Even though it was a quick meet and greet; her energy and overall aura was so vibrant and I couldn’t wait to get home and check out her site. Throughout her site you will find ways to help out in the community and be uplifted at the same time by posts written by Ashley herself <3

The Shine Project’s purpose is to inspire you to live the highest quality of life obtainable, and to motivate you to join their efforts in making the world a better place. The Shine Scholarship Project is a non-profit that was created by TSP to put their beliefs in action. Its mission is to improve the lives of at-risk teens through service, education, and family involvement. They do service projects with inner city students every other week to teach them the leadership skills that are necessary for them to succeed. The money they raise goes to sending these leaders to college, so they can give back to society.

The Shine Project also launched a new company called,”Threads.” Your purchase helps give at risk youth, a job and allows them to pay their way through college. You can shop here.

Another way you can help our community is by attending the Girls Night Out Beauty Bar Benefit! I cannot wait to be a part of this fabulous event!
