My 10 Year Reunion. Class of 2003. Apollo Hawks

Last night was my 10 year high school reunion. I cannot believe 10 years ago I graduated from high school (I now officially feel like an adult). Our reunion was at a hotel near our high school so I decided to go with cocktail attire for my look (not too dressy but dressy enough). I bought a simple black knit dress from Bebe ($129) that I paired with silver earrings; that I will probably never wear again because they were so heavy and gaged my ear hole :). Below are some pictures of the night!

Official Fashion-Guest Blogger!

About a week ago I decided to put together a Guest-Blogger Contest for fashion divas out there and after reading the amazing blog entries I received over the past couple of days from all over (thank you everyone for participating); I was finally able to narrow them down!

Congrats to Christine Battaglia with Work My Wardrobe!. As a personal stylist I am always looking for fun and unique ways to change my wardrobe that I already have. Happy Client. Happy Stylist

The best part of being a personal stylist is seeing your client glow, when they walk out of the dressing room in a new look (that they wouldn’t usually pick for themself). I had to share these pictures because I had so much fun with a new client last week!

This client was looking for new work wear looks as; well as casual weekend looks! We shopped at various stores in Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall and had so much fun doing it. If you are looking for a unique gift for the person that has everything, a personal shopper is the way to go! Some of my clients like to come to the mall and try the items on and some like me to purchase the clothing and take it to their home; it truly all depends on the clients needs! 🙂

Swimsuit Mania!

It officially hit 112 degrees yesterday in Arizona; so I thought today would be a great day to talk about swimsuit looks for the summer (since us Arizonan’s will either be inside in the air condition or in the pool).

Some of my clients ask me if they find a swimsuit they love…if they can wear it for seasons to come. I tell them that swimsuits are a lot like clothes; if it’s in season, “wear it” but if it’s not in season, “toss it.”

Let’s start with the mismatched bathing suit! This look is great for women with small torso’s that want to look like they have an elongated torso. The color combo is a great way to do that!

Black and sleek is the best way to describe this suit! I love the mesh on the shoulders and how it shows off her curves! This is like a little black dress…every women should own a black suit.

I love this pin-up suit look and the color is a perfect match! This summer you will see a lot of yellow in different shades/ombre effect.

This last swimsuit I just bought from Nordstrom and I love it! I have always wanted to own a nude suit because I can accent it with gold sandals and a gold hat. Or if you don’t like gold you can choose a bright and vivid color, like turquoise or fuchsia.

Ensemble Fashion Show

This Saturday I had the pleasure of working with Allie Olson, owner of Allie Ollie Boutique and designer of the Ensemble line. The funny story behind this, is after she asked me to style her show through email; I looked her up on facebook and realized that we went to broadcasting summer camp together over 11 years ago. I even have proof! Below is a picture we took during summer camp at a Phoenix Suns game and the picture underneath is us at a Phoenix Fashion Week Meet Up event a couple of weeks ago! Boy have times changed….and I lost my cheeks! 🙂

This fashion show not only was fun but went to a great cause! By bringing in pieces of clothing for the Sojourner Center (that provides temporary homes as well as programs that teach self-sufficiency, empowerment, and family skills, which helps women from domestic violence rebuild their lives and re-enter society) you received 50% off your purchase at Allie Ollie.

The pieces in the ENSEMBLE line are all about redefining mix and match style; they are designed for versatility and fun (as always) for women of all ages. All pieces are machine washable, made in the USA, and are great for either career or travel dressing because everything is wrinkle free.

All of the hang tags for the line were shot in the heart of Arizona, outside in the beautiful desert.

Fun Experiment! :)

During this beautiful Memorial Day weekend while most of you were bbqing and laying by the pool; I stayed indoors and caught up on some overdue cleaning, reading and took care of my husband (that recently broke his arm playing basketball). He is in a temporary cast (shown below)…and yes he looks like the bionic man :). So while he was resting; I decided to do some experimenting…since my husband usually takes my blog pictures I had to think outside of the box of a blog topic.

So while reading, I stumbled across an article on “DIY” face masks…so I decided to give it a shot! All you need is at least 6 strawberries and 2 tablespoons of honey. Toss the 6 strawberries in a blender until the fruit is mashed; then combine with 2 tablespoons of honey and apply to face for 10 minutes and “POOF,” you have a hydrated and exfoliated face :). The acids in the strawberries exfoliate and the honey hydrates your skin and I also noticed that it leaves your face feeling very smooth.

3 Year Anniversary With My Blog!

Today marks the 3 year anniversary with my blog! Time truly flies by when you are having fun! For 3 years I have brought readers my view on Fashion. Inspiration. and Lifestyle. Meaning….I find my favorite fashion items that inspire me to tweak it to my liking (and price) and turn it into a lifestyle <3 Those are the 3 words I live by in fashion.

More exciting news is that I hit over “1000” likes on my Personal Stylist page today (what an amazing weekend!) I truly appreciate all the love and support from my family and fashion friends for keeping up with me on social media! Friday evening I did some shopping at one of my favorite stores…..Forever 21! I found some very flowy, comfy dresses that are great for dinner or daytime and also work well as a swimsuit cover-up. Both dresses have the high/low-cut (where it is short in the front and long in the back). Both dresses are also under $20 and can be dressed up with accessories (shown below)!

This dress is from Forever 21 and my necklace is from Target (received this beauty on my birthday from Rose and Erin…Love you ladies).

This is another dress from Forever 21 and the necklace too! I bought the black clipped belt from American Apparal for $12. All of these looks are super casual and comfortable for this hot summer!
