Fashion is all around us…on television, our favorite shows, magazines and ONLINE. It is so easy to get online and shop but sometimes when you get your items…it’s not exactly what you expected! So I wanted to let you know of the, “Rochelle Approved,” online stores that are great quality items that you won’t be nervous to buy/open.

Let’s start with Accessory Addicted. This is a fun, very bold site with unique pieces that you will not find at just any store.

Accessoryaddicted

Some of their pieces remind me of something you would see at Juicy Couture (vintage and colorful) but for a fraction of the cost. Their accessories are anywhere from $10 to $178. Below are one of my favorites for Spring; these earrings can dress up a basic cotton tee with some dark skinny jeans in an instant and that is what I love about accessories!

Another online favorite of mine is Just Fab. I am not a big fan of their shoes but I LOVE their handbags! Recently I purchased two handbags for Spring and fell in love (each only $39.95). Both bags are big enough to carry everything that I need throughout the day…my make-up bag, snacks, lunch, water bottle and my purse essentials…..that is truly my kind of purse 🙂

Last but not least is Alexandra Beth. These pieces remind me of a little boutique my husband and I went to in Kaui for our Honeymoon (that’s probably why I love these accessories so much!).

These earrings are beautiful, I love this color purple because they can go with almost every color you are wearing. I love these earrings with a bright purple top or even a mint green blouse with a tan pencil skirt… if you have been following my blogs…you will see that I love to mix and match a lot of my colors because I love color…especially in Spring and Summer.

My last favorite accessory is this amazing ring (shown above). I have not received this ring in the mail yet but I cannot wait to get it. Surprisingly, I do not have a ring like this. I am pretty simple with my rings. I usually wear my wedding rings on my left hand and that’s it. So I was purchasing outside my comfort zone but that is the luxury of shopping and living lol. I will keep all of you posted on what I think of this gem! Hope this blog helped some of you with your online accessory shopping.

I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend!

The unique part about this event is that all of the used watches brought in will be donated to the local charity; Florence Crittenton. Their mission is supported by their vision of being the national leader in changing the future for girls. They do this by: Achieving excellence in all they do, growing to serve all girls in need and being the foremost expert in gender-specific services for girls.

What an amazing March it has been! I was lucky enough to be chosen as one of the “Top Stylist in Arizona,” for Phoenix Fashion Week’s MIM Rocks Fashion Show that was on March 29th; along with some amazing stylists throughout the valley. I styled along side; Brian Swan, Fawn Cheng, Yeka Bruner and Amir Saebi. (Shown Below)

MIM Rocks Fashion: Photo by Melissa Fossum

During the month of March, I have been eating and breathing MIM Rocks Fashion and I absolutely loved every minute of it! The “theme” of this show was everything Spring and how you can bring the looks from the runway to your closet. So, I immediately thought of floral prints with a lot of color, draped with colorful jewels.

I had the honor of working with Clothes Minded Boutique owner Kim Kendall on all of the looks chosen for the show. Her store is filled with lots of color and looks for all occasions. If you haven’t been in her boutique yet……you must! If you are looking for a casual day time look to a dressy going out look for night…this is your store! I also love the fact that she houses various Phoenix Fashion Week Designers collections in her location. So make sure to help out your local economy and check out her boutique and tell her I sent you! 🙂

I also had the pleasure of working with JHaus and Dillard’s on pulling looks and accessories from their collections. All of the denim in the show was from JHaus and all of the jewelry was from Dillard’s at Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall. (Most from the Jessica Simpson Collection)

This is where it all began (picture shown above). After I picked all of my looks; I had to choose what look to put on what model according to their skin tone and body type. I was lucky enough to have the most amazing 7 models on my team! Thanks again ladies! xoxoxo

I was very excited to be on Good Morning Arizona on 3tv, the day of the show to promote! I was interviewed by the lovely and talented Stella Inger and we discussed Spring fashion the do’s and dont’s!

This was a great picture to snap before the show began! Thank you again Phoenix Fashion Week for an amazing experience that I will never forget and a special shout out to designer JHaus and Dillards Accessories for letting me borrow such amazing pieces for the show!

Did a little shopping this week and over the weekend and wanted to show you some of my clothing and accessory finds! I went shopping at a couple of boutiques, Tempe Marketplace and JcPenny! Yes, it’s a pretty wide variety of places; but if something sparks my eye…I have to get it and if it is a great deal…then I have to get 2 (one for me and one for a friend).

I have been asked by some readers to show one piece of clothing turned into multiple looks. So I decided to show you a recent purchase of a nude top that I spoke about in my past blog from Clothes Minded Boutique in Phoenix. I love this top because it looks extremely expensive looking but not expensive in cost; this beautiful top was $39 and I am going to show you different ways to wear this top for day and night!

– Nude Top, Clothes Minded $39
– Black Button Up Leggings, Juicy Couture $198
– Tear Drop Gold Earrings, Muse Apparel Boutique $18
– Gold Mesh Bangle Bracelet, Wet Seal $10

I am always looking for fun ways to dress for work because there are only so many suits and dresses I can wear to the office before I get bored! My new nude top inspired me to put together this work look today! I paired it with a bright green pencil skirt that gives the outfit the “POP” it needs to stand out! Another color that would look great with this top is plum purple, turquoise and even a bright mandarin orange color! I also paired this look with a motorcycle jacket to add a fun layering piece; you can even add a fitted black blazer or a cropped denim jacket with this look!

Where I got this look:
– Nude Top, Clothes Minded $39
– Green Pencil Skirt, Express $59.90
– Motorcycle Jacket, Express $99.00
– Gold and Gunmetal Earrings, Guess By Marciano $68
– Silver Watch, Michael Kors $275

5Stylists

During the last couple of weeks I have had the honor of working with Phoenix Fashion Week on the MIM Rocks Fashion Show. Phoenix Fashion Week chose the top 5 stylists (shown above) in Arizona and gave us the challenge of styling 14 models, choosing the music, make-up and hair to go with our Spring theme.

From Left to Right…

-Returning for his 3rd year with MIM Rocks Fashion….stylist Brian Swan with Right Hand Man Image Consulting has 9+ years of experience in the fashion industry, consulting clients and styling numerous photo shoots and runway shows. Most recently, Brian has relocated to Las Vegas to style for Zappos.com!

-Local stylist-extraordinaire Fawn Cheng, Personal Stylist has been a personal stylist for years, here in the valley! Last year she brought a Hispanic flair + drama to the runway with Alma Primero Coleccion and I can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve this year!

-A world citizen, Yekatherina Bruner’s global travels have shaped her culturally-diverse approach to fashion. In addition to her love for style, Yekatherina has a wide experience as a fashion show producer. Yekatherina has recently been named as a Glamour Magazine “Glambassador ” for 2013.

– Amir’s La Voûte has an amazing look in men’s wear, at Amir’s they specialize and carry fine men’s clothing from elegant vintage collection, men’s accessories, unusual collectibles, oddities, and all types of gifts for men! Like Bow Ties? Be ready to see what is on trend for men this Spring!

This has been such a fun and amazing experience overall and I wanted to share my journey so far with all of you! To get started I met with owner Kim Kendall with Clothes Minded in Phoenix. Her boutique has a wide variety of local designer collections that I will be using in the show! March Madness is in full effect! During the first week of March I celebrated my 2 Year Wedding Anniversary to the man of my dreams in Maui and as soon as I got back, I was asked by Phoenix Fashion Week to be a part of their “MIM Rocks Fashion Show,” featuring Top Stylists in Arizona. I am so very honored to be apart of such a prestigious and amazing 4th annual fashion show!

PFW_09BridgingLogo

Phoenix Fashion Week’s mission is to bridge talented, well established and emerging fashion designers to buyers from around the globe! Phoenix Fashion Week was established in 2005 by a team of Arizona based industry professionals. They are also the fastest growing metropolitan area in the United States.

What’s truly exciting to me is that I have been going to events put on by Phoenix Fashion Week for over 2 years now and to now be working with them is truly a honor. :)….sorry I am starting to get a little corny!

This evening I decided to do a little shopping therapy, to get through the rest of my work week and what better way to get in the shopping spirit you ask? Well….scoping out a new boutique in Phoenix of course!

Clothes Minded is a fun and chic clothing boutique that recently opened in February! The unique part about this boutique is that it houses local designers collections that have worked with Phoenix Fashion Week…like Shawl Dawls and JHaus Denim. I had the pleasure of meeting with boutique owner Kim Kendall and learning more about her love for fashion and retail! What is also unique about her boutique is that she wants her customers to be able to learn more about the local designers that have collections in her store; so she features a local designer the 3rd Thursday of every month with a mini fashion/trunk show.

Spring is fast approaching and Clothes Minded is ready, with lots of pastels, floral and maxi dresses gallore…I was truly in “Spring Heaven.” While I was looking through her pieces I came across a beautiful nude top that I just had to have…This top can work for day and night! I will be posting a blog video this weekend on my pick of the week! Stay Tuned on fun ways to wear this top!

Over the past couple of weeks I have asked my followers to send me some new ideas to talk about on my blog. Chanda recently asked to see “multiple ways to wear affordable work clothes.” So thank you Chanda for the great blog idea…I hope you enjoy what I came up with!

This navy blue dress is from Forever 21 and I paid $24 for it. I love this dress because it is comfortable and stylish for various looks you are going for. I really think it’s important to have dresses like this in your wardrobe because you can tailor different looks around it; whether it is for work or a Spring training game!
February New Camera 026
This first work look is layered with a vintage maroon motorcycle jacket, a statement piece copper necklace and a pair of black wedges. I love pairing navy with warm colors like maroon and deep plum purples; in my opinion that is when the navy color really stands out. This is more of a “casual,” work look but most women can get away with this look if you pair a light button-up neutral color sweater with it under the jacket!
February New Camera 029
Like I say “always add statement pieces before you walk out of the door.” It can truly make your entire outfit pop, like the picture shown above.

-Dress, Forever 21 $24 www.forever21.com
-Jacket, Vintage, Stole from my mom’s closet 🙂
-Shoes, Jessica Simpson/ Dillards $69 www.dillards.com
-Necklace, Forever 21 $14.50
-Sunglasses, Guess By Marciano $59 www.guessbymarciano.com
-Ring, Forever 21 $8

My next look is more of a business casual office look. I layered a thin stripe white and navy button up under the dress to give the look a different feel.
February New Camera 017
I also wanted to accessorize this outfit up with a pearl necklace, cluster diamond earrings and a tan belt. If this is too much for you, then I would just choose the jewelry or belt and not do both 🙂
February New Camera 018

-Dress, Forever 21 $24
-Button up shirt, Guess By Marciano $148
-Navy Suede Shoes,Target on sale for $15
-Belt, Francesca’s $19.50
-Pearl Necklace Forever 21 $12
-Diamond earrings Express $24

My last look is also a business casual outfit that is paired up with a burnt orange tailored jacket and a vibrant brushed gold and neutral beaded necklace that brings the looks together. I also paired this outfit with some close-toe chocolate brown booties that I absolutley love! These boots are amazing because they can work for really any look you are going for, whether it’s a dress look or skinny jean look….these boots have you covered!
February New Camera 044
February New Camera 053
February New Camera 055

-Dress, Forever 21 $24
-Jacket, Forever 21 $32
-Necklace, Forever 21 $9.80
-Boots, Forever 21 on sale for $7.80

Hope all of you enjoyed!
