I love a good big ol’ bag, the kind that could double as a diaper bag when my son was a baby, the kind that fits everything you’ll need on a flight, the kind that start to hurt your shoulder after carrying it all day, the kind that make me feel like I’ve lost my keys-wallet-lipstick because I can’t find it in that big ol’ bag… I do love them but it’s also nice to edit everything down, only take what you need for a an evening out with friends or a trip to the store and it’s even more fun when you have a super cute bag to carry your pared down necessities.

I started making bags to sell on Etsy a few months back and I love making a good ol’ clutch, I think they are both fresh and elegant. I love to play with colors and shapes & combining textiles. I love this style for work since its just big enough to carry my iPad but without it it has a real cute slouch happening.

I love the Pom Poms on this one, I strung them myself to go with this bag. The vintage embroidered fabric is so vibrant, this is a one of kind piece.

Keep an eye out for this style coming soon with detachable straps…for those days when you don’t feel like lugging around the big guy but want to give your hands a break.

Who doesn’t love Ikat, this particular woven fabric comes from India.

I can’t pass up a beautiful Batik fabric, the shades of blue on this bag make my heart skip a beat.

The most fun bag to make are these rouched fabric clutches. They are challenging to make but always turn out awesome.

This is last one is very dear to me. I love Arizona, I love the desert. I snapped this photo of Camelback Mountain from the balcony at the Valley Ho and I think it’s such a fun homage to the place I call home.

Vintage By Misty Shoot!

This weekend was another fun filled fashion Saturday at Vintage by Misty! If you live in Arizona and haven’t been to her store yet…drop everything your doing and go and if you live outside of Arizona go to her Etsy site:) Most of my Saturday was spent looking through authentic and timeless pieces…I think I tried on everything in her store! Mirrored Effect Print….

This past weekend I was on a mission to find dark denim high-waist shorts…but of course when I am looking for something, I find and WANT everything else but what I am actually looking for. So while shopping I found this mirrored effect floral printed dress at Forever 21. This new print is on trend and will continue to be well into Fall. I am even starting to see this “mirrored effect,” in swimsuits too!

I love this cut and fit because I can wear it with a blazer for work and take off the blazer for happy hour or a date night. If you are an online shopper and want to purchase this dress make sure to buy a size larger than you would usually be because it runs a bit snug.

I Love What I Do! <3

I had the privilege of working with a women that just graduated from Arizona State University, that is a complete doll to work with! She came to me looking for a graduation outfit and we ended up finding so much more! I wanted to share what she sent me along with the looks we purchased during our shopping spree. Fun In The Sun!

Well, summer is officially here!!! It hit 100 degrees last week and today I am laying out by the pool and enjoying this beautiful Arizona weather while writing to all of you!

So in honor of the summer weather I wanted to show you a casual, fun summer look that can be worn on the weekend day drinking or at a bbq.

I love dressing up but sometimes it’s nice to be comfy and casual when it’s hot. But don’t forget to stay extremely colorful this summer because you will see lots of color out there in magazines, fashion blogs and watching House Wives of Orange County of course lol! 🙂

Massage Envy Fashion Show Breakdown

Field of colors, lace, crystals and tall models galore; that pretty much summed up my Friday night at JW Marriot Desert Ridge for the Massage Envy Fashion Show! This show was a grand production and I had an amazing time styling this show! Thanks to Phoenix Fashion Week for letting me style such a fun and colorful event!

For this show I was inspired by Massage Envy’s location color/theme…..PURPLE!!! So I wanted the color pallet to flow around the rich purple they use to trademark their name. (Shown Below)

All of the models in this picture are wearing looks from Dillards. The Saturday before the show I spent close to 3 hours in the Scottsdale Fashion Square location, pulling looks because there was sooo much to choose from (which is never a bad thing). What really stood out to me was the flowy dresses and tailored jackets and for the men I was drawn to board shorts and rolled up skinny’s for summer!

I also wanted to give a special “shout out” to the amazing style team that helped me backstage with a flawless show! I look forward to working with all of you again! 🙂

LOL! I had to add this picture because I love standing next to these beautiful models because I am half of their size…literally!

Work to Weekend Wear With a Peplum Flair!

Spring is now quickly turning into summer weather and I wanted to check out the stores to see if I could find any transition pieces for my wardrobe. I recently went on a mini shopping spree at Tempe Market Place this past weekend and I found a crisp, white peplum rayon top at Divaz Boutique. This top inspired me to do a blog post on Work to Weekend Wear Looks!

Backstage at Green Street Realty Fashion Show!

It was the perfect temperature and weather for a rooftop fashion show in Phoenix. With over 250 guests supporting the Phoenix Children’s Hospital; everyone was dressed to impress including the amazing models.

I have never styled a fashion show on a rooftop before and now I don’t want to have it any other way because of how beautiful it was….but if you would ask me in the middle of July I would probably be perfectly fine with an indoor venue 🙂

I love this picture above because I am literally half the size of these beautiful bombshells I am styling <3. Backstage all of the models are wearing Shawl Dawls; I blogged about this designer back in January because I fell in love with their collection because there are so many ways to wear their shawls. Misty’s fun and unique location is in the heart of downtown Phoenix. If you are looking for a Louis Vuitton clutch to a sequin cap-sleeve jacket Vintage By Misty is your place! There you will also find Amir’s Va Loute!

I had the pleasure of working with him for MIM Rocks Fashion. His looks are very clean-cut and unique. I love his color pallets that he pairs with his prints and designs. What’s really cool about Amir is that he creates all of his designs in-house.

When I first started writing this blog post, I just wanted to talk about backstage but as you are reading…..it has turned into a lot more! I absolutely LOVE my job and LOVE what I do and LOVE who I worked with on this show and wanted to give everyone a little shout out! 🙂

JHaus Denim was really fun to style because I pretty much wanted every single item she designed; so it made it extremely easy to visualize what I wanted my outcome to be! JLynn (the designer) is amazing to work with and has such a kind heart! I was also lucky enough to be able to pull some fun tops from Clothes Minded Boutique! (Shown Below).

Last but not least I loved this look from Bounty Hunter! Who says only women can roll up their pants, guys are now doing it too! I also tell all of my male clients to always match your belt with your shoes and this is a perfect example! I loved the color of this belt and actually saw the belt first and paired the entire outfit around it 🙂

I also wanted to give a special “Shout Out” to Dillards Accessory Department because they supplied me with all of the accessories in the Green Street Realty Show!
