Mirrored Effect Print….

This past weekend I was on a mission to find dark denim high-waist shorts…but of course when I am looking for something, I find and WANT everything else but what I am actually looking for. So while shopping I found this mirrored effect floral printed dress at Forever 21. This new print is on trend and will continue to be well into Fall. I am even starting to see this “mirrored effect,” in swimsuits too!

I love this cut and fit because I can wear it with a blazer for work and take off the blazer for happy hour or a date night. If you are an online shopper and want to purchase this dress make sure to buy a size larger than you would usually be because it runs a bit snug.

I Love What I Do! <3

I had the privilege of working with a women that just graduated from Arizona State University, that is a complete doll to work with! She came to me looking for a graduation outfit and we ended up finding so much more! I wanted to share what she sent me along with the looks we purchased during our shopping spree. Fun In The Sun!

Well, summer is officially here!!! It hit 100 degrees last week and today I am laying out by the pool and enjoying this beautiful Arizona weather while writing to all of you!

So in honor of the summer weather I wanted to show you a casual, fun summer look that can be worn on the weekend day drinking or at a bbq.

I love dressing up but sometimes it’s nice to be comfy and casual when it’s hot. But don’t forget to stay extremely colorful this summer because you will see lots of color out there in magazines, fashion blogs and watching House Wives of Orange County of course lol! 🙂

Massage Envy Fashion Show Breakdown

Field of colors, lace, crystals and tall models galore; that pretty much summed up my Friday night at JW Marriot Desert Ridge for the Massage Envy Fashion Show! This show was a grand production and I had an amazing time styling this show! Thanks to Phoenix Fashion Week for letting me style such a fun and colorful event!

For this show I was inspired by Massage Envy’s location color/theme…..PURPLE!!! So I wanted the color pallet to flow around the rich purple they use to trademark their name. (Shown Below)

All of the models in this picture are wearing looks from Dillards. The Saturday before the show I spent close to 3 hours in the Scottsdale Fashion Square location, pulling looks because there was sooo much to choose from (which is never a bad thing). What really stood out to me was the flowy dresses and tailored jackets and for the men I was drawn to board shorts and rolled up skinny’s for summer!

I also wanted to give a special “shout out” to the amazing style team that helped me backstage with a flawless show! I look forward to working with all of you again! 🙂

LOL! I had to add this picture because I love standing next to these beautiful models because I am half of their size…literally!

Work to Weekend Wear With a Peplum Flair!

Spring is now quickly turning into summer weather and I wanted to check out the stores to see if I could find any transition pieces for my wardrobe. I recently went on a mini shopping spree at Tempe Market Place this past weekend and I found a crisp, white peplum rayon top at Divaz Boutique. Backstage at Green Street Realty Fashion Show!

It was the perfect temperature and weather for a rooftop fashion show in Phoenix. With over 250 guests supporting the Phoenix Children’s Hospital; everyone was dressed to impress including the amazing models.

I have never styled a fashion show on a rooftop before and now I don’t want to have it any other way because of how beautiful it was….but if you would ask me in the middle of July I would probably be perfectly fine with an indoor venue 🙂

I love this picture above because I am literally half the size of these beautiful bombshells I am styling <3. Backstage all of the models are wearing Shawl Dawls; I blogged about this designer back in January because I fell in love with their collection because there are so many ways to wear their shawls. I also had so much fun styling for Vintage By Misty! I have blogged about her boutique before when I bought my amazing Chanel Nugget Earrings (Shown Below)

Misty’s fun and unique location is in the heart of downtown Phoenix. If you are looking for a Louis Vuitton clutch to a sequin cap-sleeve jacket Vintage By Misty is your place! There you will also find Amir’s Va Loute!

I had the pleasure of working with him for MIM Rocks Fashion. His looks are very clean-cut and unique. I love his color pallets that he pairs with his prints and designs. What’s really cool about Amir is that he creates all of his designs in-house.

When I first started writing this blog post, I just wanted to talk about backstage but as you are reading…..it has turned into a lot more! I absolutely LOVE my job and LOVE what I do and LOVE who I worked with on this show and wanted to give everyone a little shout out! 🙂

JHaus Denim was really fun to style because I pretty much wanted every single item she designed; so it made it extremely easy to visualize what I wanted my outcome to be! JLynn (the designer) is amazing to work with and has such a kind heart! I was also lucky enough to be able to pull some fun tops from Clothes Minded Boutique! (Shown Below).

Last but not least I loved this look from Bounty Hunter! Who says only women can roll up their pants, guys are now doing it too! I also tell all of my male clients to always match your belt with your shoes and this is a perfect example! I loved the color of this belt and actually saw the belt first and paired the entire outfit around it 🙂

I also wanted to give a special “Shout Out” to Dillards Accessory Department because they supplied me with all of the accessories in the Green Street Realty Show!

Green Street Realty Charity Fashion Show

I am so excited to be teaming up with Phoenix Fashion Week again on the Green Street Realty Charity Fashion Show this Thursday, April 18th at 7:30. I will be styling looks from Shawl Dawls, Bounty Hunter, JHaus Denim, Amir’s La Voute and Vintage By Misty.

What’s extremely exciting about the show is that 100% of the proceeds earned from the event and silent auctions will be donated to The Phoenix Children’s Hospital. This Spring into Summer show will focus on looks that will be on the runway; and then can be transitioned to your closet. You will see a lot of “ready to wear,” pieces from the designers and collections I listed above.

This weekend I started pulling looks from the show and saw myself steering towards a lot of stripes for men! Women have been wearing stripes all season and I love it. I recommend pairing stripes with a bright color. For example if you are wearing stripe leggings (black and white) I would pair them with a bright color top (like the picture shown below). She rocks this outfit and didn’t even have to accessorize that much! If you do not want to be that BOLD; you can pair a basic black dress with a stripe blazer.

I hope all of you can show support for Phoenix Children’s Hospital and come to the show this Thursday!

The Shine Project :)

During the MIM Rocks Fashion Show I had the privilege of meeting Ashley, owner and creator of, “The Shine Project.” Even though it was a quick meet and greet; her energy and overall aura was so vibrant and I couldn’t wait to get home and check out her site. Throughout her site you will find ways to help out in the community and be uplifted at the same time by posts written by Ashley herself <3

The Shine Project’s purpose is to inspire you to live the highest quality of life obtainable, and to motivate you to join their efforts in making the world a better place. They have many events set up around the country, and would love for everyone to get involved! To get involved please email Ashley at theshineproject@gmail.com

The Shine Scholarship Project is a non-profit that was created by TSP to put their beliefs in action. Its mission is to improve the lives of at-risk teens through service, education, and family involvement. They do service projects with inner city students every other week to teach them the leadership skills that are necessary for them to succeed. The money they raise goes to sending these leaders to college, so they can give back to society.

The Shine Project also launched a new company called,”Threads.” Your purchase helps give at risk youth, a job and allows them to pay their way through college. You can shop here.

Another way you can help our community is by attending the Girls Night Out Beauty Bar Benefit! I cannot wait to be a part of this fabulous event! During the girls night out there will be music, food and some raffles…all while you get your hair braided, your nails painted, your make-up done….whats better than that?! Shopping Online…?

Fashion is all around us…on television, our favorite shows, magazines and ONLINE. It is so easy to get online and shop but sometimes when you get your items…it’s not exactly what you expected! So I wanted to let you know of the, “Rochelle Approved,” online stores that are great quality items that you won’t be nervous to buy/open.

Let’s start with Accessory Addicted. This is a fun, very bold site with unique pieces that you will not find at just any store.

Some of their pieces remind me of something you would see at Juicy Couture (vintage and colorful) but for a fraction of the cost. Their accessories are anywhere from $10 to $178. Below are one of my favorites for Spring; these earrings can dress up a basic cotton tee with some dark skinny jeans in an instant and that is what I love about accessories!

Another online favorite of mine is Just Fab. I am not a big fan of their shoes but I LOVE their handbags! Recently I purchased two handbags for Spring and fell in love (each only $39.95). Both bags are big enough to carry everything that I need throughout the day…my make-up bag, snacks, lunch, water bottle and my purse essentials…..that is truly my kind of purse 🙂

Last but not least is Alexandra Beth. These pieces remind me of a little boutique my husband and I went to in Kaui for our Honeymoon (that’s probably why I love these accessories so much!).

These earrings are beautiful, I love this color purple because they can go with almost every color you are wearing. I love these earrings with a bright purple top or even a mint green blouse with a tan pencil skirt… if you have been following my blogs…you will see that I love to mix and match a lot of my colors because I love color…especially in Spring and Summer.

My last favorite accessory is this amazing ring (shown above). I have not received this ring in the mail yet but I cannot wait to get it. Surprisingly, I do not have a ring like this. I am pretty simple with my rings. I usually wear my wedding rings on my left hand and that’s it. So I was purchasing outside my comfort zone but that is the luxury of shopping and living lol. I will keep all of you posted on what I think of this gem! Hope this blog helped some of you with your online accessory shopping.
