Summer is officially here (in my eyes because it is soooo hot outside) and when it’s hot my “go to,” is flowy dresses because I don’t feel restricted or uncomfortable with the summer heat. I also like that I can transition this dress into fall by adding a cropped jean jacket or fitted black blazer. This dress is from the new maternity line Liz Langer at Target. I read about this collaboration a couple months ago and couldn’t wait to see her collection in stores. I love her maternity pieces because it doesn’t look like typical maternity clothes and it’s affordable which is also a plus in my eyes.

I also feel that I can wear a lot of her dresses after pregnancy because then it turns into a “boho sleek look,” (if you know me or have worked with me before, you know that I always think ahead on how much wear I will get out of the pieces I buy even if the price point is low because there is no shame is planning and saving money :)).

I love to wear dresses while I am pregnant because it is the easiest to wear and is the most comfortable, yet professional. I also like that I can easily transition from the work week (which is pictured) to the weekend by switching bags, heels to ballet flats and a long simple necklace with a top knot hair style.

I have never been a huge fan of horizontal stripes but sometimes it depends on the outfit itself and the tailoring of the overall look like makes me swoon. I have noticed during my pregnancy shopping that there is an insane amount of stripes out there anywhere from shorts, skirts, tops, dresses, jackets and even swimsuits. I am trying to only have the bare minimum of stripes in my closet so here is one of the few stripe looks I have that I LOVE!
