I officially got “sugared,” at Sugar Sugar in the Scottsdale Promenade and I loved it! If you are new to “sugaring” you are not alone; I was a little skeptical going into it because I am not a fan of hot wax because it is hot and just plain uncomfortable. Sugaring is an ancient art of hair removal that was popular thousands of years ago in Egypt, Greece and Mesopotamia. Rediscovered ancient arts often are found to be the most effective methods, and this is clearly the case with sugaring. The technique is not commonly available because it’s a true art that takes much practice to perfect and all of the Sugar Sugar estheticians are highly trained sugarist-artists! I was very pleased with the result, I felt as if I was getting a mini massage on my legs while she was waxing them (nothing like hot waxing, I would practically hold my breath the entire time waiting for it to be over). After the treatment was over, they gave me a small bag of Hungarian Mud to soak my legs in and it felt very soothing. You can say that I am a happy camper!

Not only does Sugar Sugar specialize in all natural sugaring but they also specialize in natural facials! I haven’t had one yet but I can’t wait to try it out! Surprisingly I have never had a “all natural,” facial before and I am excited to see what the difference is. I am also excited to announce that I am teaming up with Sugar Sugar to offer all of my blog readers and clients a discount for their first visit. When you call to make an appointment or walk in, make sure to tell them that you heard about them from my blog!
